The Company:
For over 40 years our client has been manufacturing machinery to support New Zealand’s meat processing industries. They custom design and build a range of meat and fat trimming machinery for customers, both here and overseas.
As well as their own bespoke product development and manufacturing capabilities, they also represent quality imported lines to their customers across New Zealand, Australia, Europe, North America, and Asia.
The Role:
They are currently looking to hire a Warehousing and Parts Coordinator to join their East Tamaki based team and be responsible for the timely movement of parts, as well as inspecting and ensuring the quality of parts and finished products is maintained to a high standard.
This role will suit a logical, process driven person, who enjoys the nitty gritty and is keen to learn and add value to both the warehousing and production teams.
About the Role:
- Receipting all inwards goods
- Fulfilling quality control processes with product and component testing
- Liaising with engineers on any discrepancies
- Sending parts out to suppliers for further outsourced manufacturing processes. e.g heat treatments
- Fulfilling all documentation around the movement of parts, inwards and outwards
- Performing inventory counts and reconciliations.
- Pick and packing orders ready for final checks before dispatching.
- Preparation of dispatch and export documentation.
- Communicating with the internal team as well as external partners.
- Work to support both production and warehouse areas.
About You
- Interest in working in an engineering / manufacturing environment.
- Impeccable attention to detail essential for inspecting parts to meeting quality standards.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Mechanical aptitude and keen to learn.
- Ability to read engineering plans would be a huge bonus (can be taught)
- Process driven with strong organizational skills to manage the parts supply chain effectively.
- Systems and computer literacy with word, excel, etc.
- Strong administration and record keeping skills.
- “Can do” attitude. Keen on adding value to the team.
