Our client is an internationally recognized manufacturer that supplies the commercial interiors industry of New Zealand. They are at the forefront of design and are renowned for their unique customization, as well as providing expert service and unparalleled quality. 

We are looking for a design-oriented Sales Specialist to join their team and be responsible for promoting their brands to the high end of the architectural design and commercial interiors market.

We are seeking someone who is already active in the A and D market and already has relationships with New Zealand’s top Architectural and Interiors Design firms. 

The right person will be focused on developing a strong market presence, so that the company is “front of mind” when a project is in planning stage and will secure opportunities to tender for projects at every opportunity. 

The Role:

  • Managing and growing existing Key Architectural and Commercial Interior Design accounts
  • Promoting new ranges to clients
  • Bring personal design flair and ability to influence clients design ideas
  • Being at the forefront of your client’s mind, ensuring opportunities to quote on projects
  • Leveraging relationships with contractors to secure opportunities to quote on projects 
  • Managing a project sales cycle that at times can be take many months to close.
  • Bring personal design flair and ability to influence clients design ideas
  • Introducing and promoting new ranges to clients
  • Working with corporate customers directly s well as with their architect/ designer.
  • Networking and building relationships and can use those relationships to generate ongoing business opportunities.
  • Continually strives to close sales and increase market

About you: 

  •  Experience working with the Architectural and Interior Design market and understand how it operates.
  • Sales experience from within a decorative interiors industry. (Textiles, Commercial fit-out, Flooring, Furnishings).
  • A real creative, design orientation
  • Demonstrated confidence in presenting to groups at all levels
  • Ability to drive new business opportunities.
  • Can naturally influence customer’s purchasing behaviours
  • Is credible and gains the respect of clients. They look forward to your visit.
  • Polished presentation. Design, Fashion focused!
