Junior Estimator - Print Packaging Industry

Located on the North Shore, this med-large Packaging Manufacturer can offer you a unique opportunity to learn, develop and progress in a secure industry and a role that will offer variety and challenge. 

The Role:

• Estimating print jobs accurately and timely.  adhering to quality and profitability guidelines.
• Ensuring the most suitable materials and machinery and labour time are quoted to obtain the best production processes.
• Offering suggestions to ensure continuous improvement, cost savings and "best-choice" for clients.
• Supporting sales and production to ensure they are provided with accurate information, communication and support.
• Assisting with the management of relationships with suppliers and ensuring procurement of services and consumables is controlled efficiently. 
• Providing reports and recording all quotes and procurement activity accurately.
• Maintaining positive relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Working with the most up-to-date manufacturing based IT systems and focusing on continuous improvement of efficiencies for accurate and quick estimating.

About you:

• You live and breathe for numbers.  An expert Excel and IT user, with the ability to read and analyze data translating it into real solutions.  
• You are a stickler for detail and your level of accuracy is fanatical.
• You are service-centric and team-driven.
• You ideally have had some exposure to estimating / quoting and understand what this role entails in a manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of print or packaging manufacturing would be advantageous.  
• You are highly motivated, a fast worker who loves the pace of a high output environment.
• You are a very quick learner, can work under immense time-pressures
• You are focused and methodical.  
• Communication is key.  Professional, articulate, confident, adaptable and a "can do" attitude.
• You have plenty of initiative and are known for your "out the box" thinking.  
• You are Tertiary Qualified in Business, Commerce, Finance or similar.
