Employment Relations (Employee Remuneration Disclosure) Amendment Bill has passed

Follow our recent update on the Employment Relations (Employee Remuneration Disclosure) Amendment Bill which you can read here:
www.employers.co.nz/employment-relations-employee-remuneration-disclosure-amendment-bill-newsitem.aspx, the Bill has now passed the third reading and will become law in due course.

Get prepared with your employment agreements – you will no longer be allowed to prevent (or take any punitive action against) staff who choose to disclose their remuneration details

Having such a provision in an existing Employment Agreement does not invalidate the agreement, but acting on it would be unlawful
