CNC Operator

We are looking for an experienced CNC Operator with excellent AutoCAD who is ready to take ownership in this secure and fast-paced company.

The role

• Take ownership of the CNC Machinery (3 axis) and using AutoCAD software to make and assemble 3D signage solutions.
• Interpreting drawings and client specifications to ensure accuracy and quality output that exceeds the client's expectations.
• Working collaboratively with the team to ensure seamless communication, accurate interpretation of job briefs and working together coming up with creative, innovative and cost-effective solutions.
• Looking at the feasibility of jobs and having the ability and experience to conceptualize and visualize the desired outcome and articulate this effectively.
• This role is very fast-paced and not for the faint-hearted.  If you enjoy variety, thinking on your feet and having accountability, you will thrive in this environment.
• Working 8.30am-5pm Monday-Friday with flexibility to work extended hours when required (50-hour weeks aren't uncommon here, so it is important you can commit to this when the business requires).

About you

• In addition to your CNC Operator and CAD experience preferably in the signage industry (sign experience is advantageous but is not essential) the attributes that are really important in this role also are;
  • Team player - you must be an active listener and be able to clearly communicate to your team.  The culture of this company is fun, young, innovative and positive. You may be involved in leading and training less experienced staff in the future.
  • Visualization.  You need to "think" in 3D / 4D and have the ability to take a concept to completion.
  • Multitasking expert.  You have excellent foresight and are able to work on a number of jobs at once, learning quickly which to prioritize and managing your own workflow accordingly.
  • Work ethic.  Reliability, working hard and working efficiently is essential here. Self-drive and initiative will ensure further career opportunities are here for you.
  • Current experience within a production environment and the willingness to work on-the-tools.

Remuneration

• A generous hourly rate will be on offer if you fit the above, circa $28-$35hr (experience dependent).  If you are less experienced the salary will be reflective of your experience, but you should still apply as a less experienced candidate with a great attitude will be considered (as long as you have at least 2 years experience as a CNC Operator with AutoCAD).
