HELPDESK - Customer Service - Korean Speaking

Our client is a premium provider of Guest Internet Solutions, to the international Hotel industry. When you stay in a hotel overseas and use your rooms internet connection, most likely, it will be supported by our client. They design, build, and manage hotel networks for all the major global hotel brands, across 34-countries, and are the only vendor to be endorsed by all five of the global hotel chains.

They run 24/7 multi-lingual support centres across several international locations and take pride in their responsiveness to any issue or support request. They are currently growing their New Zealand ICT Customer Support team, so on their behalf we are recruiting for a Temp Customer Service  /Helpdesk person to join their Mt Wellington based team.

In this role you will be providing support for their customers, who  will be staying at one of their new hotels in Korea.  It is vital to ensure that hotel guests and hotel staff can effortlessly connect their devices to the hotels broadband network.

If there are any issues, they will call for assistance…and that is where you come in.

You will become the first point of for customers to resolve any technical issue, supporting international customers that mostly speak good English, but  you will assist the customers that can only speak Korean. You will become  one of the Korean language representatives for the team.

So, if you can’t speak fluent Korean, then this will not be the role for you!

 About you:

  • Fluent communication in English as well as Korean.
  • Strong phone-based Customer Service experience, with a great deal of patience and empathy.
  • Ability to pick up technical problem-solving skills
  • Happy to do shift work – 4 days on, 4 days off, 12-hour shifts - 6am - 6pm (the 4 days off sounds great right?)
  • Experience from a Helpdesk, contact center, or customer service background would be great
  • Any IT / Telecommunications industry experience would be amazing but not necessary
  • Must be able to work legally in New Zealand
